The Game Fair’s Shooting Line, sponsored by Subaru, has become a staple feature of the show site for many years. Run by world famous shooting ground and sporting agency, E.J. Churchill, it allows our visitors the opportunity to have a mid-summer shoot out with competitions, Have-a-Go stands and demonstrations. We boast Europe’s Longest Shooting Line – plenty of room for the whole family to get involved with this historical country sport.
N.B. If you are bringing your own cartridges – fibre wad only please.

The Game Fair Challenge
This is a 50-bird English Sporting clay competition with a layout developed by the E. J. Churchill team. Challenging and great fun with a daily cash payout over different categories. (Cartridges not included)
Entry is £27 with a £22 re-entry.

The Game Fair Sportrap
An exciting 25-bird sporting competition, which should appeal to every ability and calibre of shooter.
Shot over five stands, five traps and different combinations, this is both testing and fun. There will be a daily cash prize for the Top Gun.
Entry is £15.00 (Cartridges not included).
The Game Fair Pool Shoot
A 12 bird sequence and perfect for getting your eye in before trying out the bigger competitions, there’s no better place than the Pool Shoot. Fun is guaranteed and there’s even a daily cash prize for the Top Gun.

The Game Fair Extreme Pool Shoot
Suitable for both experienced and novice shots (there will be a shooting instructor on the stand to help you), take on our extreme pool shoot and try your luck at our 40yd, 60yd and 80yd target. You have to hit the closest one with full use of the gun, to move to the next, but hit all 3 and win a Limited edition E.J. Churchill baseball cap!

CPSA Champion of Champions
The CPSA Champion of Champions clay-shooting competition at The Game Fair, invites top-shots from across England to compete for the title. Each CPSA County Committee puts forward their County Champion to test themselves on The Game Fair sporting course. The top five scorers from all the County Champions are then invited for a spectacular shoot-off in the arena.
Winner will receive a prize from Eley Cartridges and Sunglasses for Sport, as well as a 1 year free CPSA membership.
CPSA Colts Challenge
The top 10 ranked under 16s English Sporting clay-target shooters are invited by the CPSA to test their ability at The Game Fair. All 10 young shots will tackle The Game Fair sporting course, before the top five scorers are asked to display their skill on a sportrap layout in the shooting arena.
Winner will receive a prize from Eley Cartridges and Sunglasses for Sport, as well as a 1 year free CPSA membership.
Have-A-Go
Ideal for the novice shooter wanting to have a go at clay shooting. All inclusive of clays, 10 cartridges and expert shooting instructor. Entry £15.

Have-A-Go Rabbit Flurry
Shot individually, this is a stand offering a 20-bird Rabbit sequence that will prove challenging but can be enjoyed by any keen shot with their gun. There will be a daily cash prize for the high gun.

Gun Storage
£10.00/gun / day (shotgun license must be shown for drop off and collection and no overnight storage is available)
Shooting Line Rules
- Ear and Eye protection must be worn on the shooting line at all times
- The wearing of hats while on the shooting line is advised
- Shooting under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited
- Loaded guns must never be carried around the Shooting Line. All guns must be enclosed in a slip or broken with chambers empty and semi autos must display a warning flag
- Do not cross any rope or safety barriers
- Strictly fibre wad cartridges only, maximum 28g 7s
- The referees’ decision is final
- Bullying or abuse of the referees will not be tolerated
- Any challenges relating to a referee’s decision must be made at the time
- Simultaneous pairs will be shot as ‘pair again nothing established’ in the event of a no bird
- On report pairs will be shot as ‘first bird established, pair again’ in the event of no bird
- Scorecards must be handed in at the specified time each day
- Shooters must be ready to shoot when their name is called
- Persons are responsible for the safekeeping of personal property at all times
- The Game Fair/E. J. Churchill/BASC/CPSA has the right to refuse entry to a competition/shooting event or access to the Shooting Line in the interest of safety or if there is a valid reason to do so
- All Game Fair and shooting line staff must be treated with respect at all time
- The Game Fair organisers will not take responsibility for the loss or mislaying of personal items
- Gun storage is available during the day only
