Hosted by the National Target Shotgun Association, knock down all nine steel plates in the fastest time to win a prize.
The primary emphasis in Steel Challenge is speed. Competitors try to hit all plates as quickly as possible.
Competitors may use different firearms, with divisions for pistols, revolvers, and rifles, including both rimfire (like .22 LR) and centerfire calibers (like 9mm).
The fastest overall time wins. Penalties are added for missed plates or procedural errors.
