Launched in 2018, the Tikka T1x has established itself as one of the UK’s most popular bolt action rimfire.
The reason is quite simple, it is a scaled down version of the Tikka T3X, said to be the UK’s most popular centrefire rifle.
As a result, you get all the performance of the large calibre version with the benefit of a rimfire cost.
Launched initially with a synthetic stock the range was recently expanded to include a target version, the UPR (Ultimate Performance Rifle).
Now UK distributor and regular Game Fair exhibitor GMK has announced the addition of a traditional wooden version, designed for shooters that prefer the traditional look and warm feel of a wooden stock.
It’s available in both .17 HMR and .22 LR with a choice of 16in and 20in barrel lengths.
Meanwhile, with the Tikka factory increasing capacity to meet the ever-growing demand for the T1x rimfire, this has also enabled the development of a true left-handed version.
Smaller controls and fiddly rimfire ammunition mean that left sided controls and ejection are a real boon for the left-handed user.
